Senior School

The Student Experience

Education for a new world - where students lead, passions drive, and impact begins.

What do students need to become productive and purposeful citizens? What will help students thrive in post-secondary and beyond? What do employers look for in prospective hires? The answers aren’t what they used to be.

Leaders from all sectors tell us the same thing: today’s students need a new kind of education. Yes, they still need a strong foundation of knowledge and skills. And they need more. We’re combining our own experience with global best practices to launch a Senior School that will do better for students.

What does this learning look like? On a regular basis, it will include:
  • External experts and facilities to enrich student learning through student inquiry, presentations, field trips, mentorships, field work, research, co-op placements, and more
  • Course projects designed to address real challenges
  • A unique program, called the KCS Path Program, where students will pursue rigorous learning rooted in their interests
  • Intentional development of creative, cross-disciplinary thinking and problem-solving
  • A school experience and environment designed to support well-being
  • Students leveraging their strengths and talents to enrich both their own and the learning of others
  • Opportunities to develop an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Experiential learning, hands-on creation, and self-discovery

Additional Co-curriculars

  • Clubs and teams in academics, arts, athletics and citizenship
  • 100% of students engaged in service and leadership
  • Outdoor education, learning in nature, and environmental stewardship
  • Local, national and global travel opportunities
  • The Duke of Edinburgh International Award initiated by all

Education needs to help our youth discover their passions and purpose in life, develop the critical skills needed to be successful in pursuing their goals, be inspired on a daily basis to do their very best, and be active and informed citizens.
