The halls of KCS were filled not with students but with butterflies, dogs, hockey players, princesses, Red Riding Hoods…and even a few ‘bad tempers’. However, it wasn't for our annual Halloween Parade…it was the Forest of Reading © Blue Spruce
Day at KCS and the Senior Kindergarten to grade 2 students were dressed up as their favourite characters from this year’s Blue Spruce books.
It was a very busy morning of voting, game playing and celebrating for our students! First, they voted for their favourite costumes and then participated in a super-secret vote for their favourite Blue Spruce Book. Once the voting was complete Mrs. Hoggarth and Ms. Cutting counted up the votes and the winners were tallied – with the book 'If Kids Ruled the World' winning by a landslide, 'Butterfly Park' coming in second, and the books 'Henry Holton: Takes the Ice and Stop Thief!' tying for third place.
Thanks to everyone for participating, and for working together to make Blue Spruce Day such a success!
