The Application

New applicants will need to create an account to gain access to the application form. 

There is a non-refundable application fee for all applications. The fee is $200.

When completing the application, you will be required to submit the following documentation:

• Recent photo of the applicant;
• A copy of the applicant's birth certificate or passport; 
• The applicant’s year-end report cards from two previous years, as well as most current report cards. We do not require JK applicants to submit a report card;
• Any educational assessments and IEP(s) if applicable; and 
• The name and email address of a teacher reference. We will contact them directly once all documentation has been received. 

PLEASE NOTE: If you need to stop during the course of completing the application, you can return to the form at a later time to complete the requirements. Information will be saved automatically.

The Assessment and Student Interview

Once the application has been submitted, a member of the admissions team will contact you to schedule an assessment date. 

What does the assessment process look like at KCS?

JK and SK Applicants
Visits for Kindergarten students include literacy and numeracy activities and games and a visit to our kindergarten classrooms. 

Grade 1 to 12 Applicants
Age-appropriate assessments for Grade 1 to Grade 12 students include the following:

• Reading and comprehension
• Mathematics
• Writing
• Student interview

PLEASE NOTE: Parents/guardians of Grade 9-12 applicants will be required to participate in an interview with a member of the admissions team. 

Student Tour of the facilities and classrooms

Students applying for admissions have the opportunity to tour classrooms and our facilities following the assessment. They will meet faculty and staff, and chat with students to experience our community and academic environment firsthand.
