Lunch Program

Lunch is an important part of the school day.

Students get the chance to socialize with their friends, take a break from all that learning, and – of course – have a bite to eat.

On most days, students eat lunch in their classrooms under faculty and intermediate student supervision. But occasionally, the students will enjoy dining outside on a warm sunny day!

Boomerang Lunch:

If students are bringing a lunch from home, they are asked to make it a “boomerang lunch”. This means that they bring all their garbage home, so that they can ensure it is properly recycled, composted, or thrown away. This helps students make a connection between the choices they make and the waste they create.

Hot Lunch Program:

KCS is pleased to offer the popular hot lunch program “Kidssentials, the Catering Service for Kids”. Five days per week, Kidssentials.com offers a wide variety of tasty, kid-friendly entrees made in house, then mixed/assembled fresh at our school. Entrees include several rice & pasta options, burgers & nuggets, soups & stews, biryani, burritos and wraps to name a few…visit their website for a complete list & description of the 60+ entrees. They also offer hot & cold sides plus daily vegetarian, vegan and allergen-free options. Always nut free and additionally gluten, dairy, egg, sesame, soy, seafood free. Daily chocolate and white milk can also be added to your child's lunch. Ordering is easily completed on-line, create a family account to learn more. Please contact Kidssentials directly by email mail@kidssentials.com or 416-855-1914 with any questions.
