To be the defining force in developing lifelong learners by stewarding a learning environment that inspires us to reach our ultimate potential.
Childhood is all about discovering who you really are.
At KCS, we provide our students with rich and diverse experiences that open up their horizons in ways they could never have imagined.
We’ve built our entire school culture around our Four Doors to Learning – Academics, Arts, Athletics, and Citizenship. That means every student ends up exploring all aspects of school life. And by doing so, they uncover a wealth of hidden talents, interests, and experiences.
The athlete discovers that she has a knack for creating sculptures. The bookworm discovers the deep fulfillment that comes from running his own food drive. And the quiet musician ends up realizing that they're actually pretty good at sports.
So come visit KCS, and discover an elementary school that lets kids embrace the amazing adventure that is growing up.
KCS is a community of lifelong learners, devoted to establishing the habits of lifelong learning in our students. One way we do that is by consistently applying the Habits of Mind, Body and Action, a set of habits designed to help our entire community face the challenges of tomorrow.
The Four Doors to Learning are Academics, Arts, Athletics, and Citizenship. By teaching our students to explore and value all four doors, we help them experience a deeper and richer approach to lifelong learning.
Our three school rules drive everything we do. They aren't just written on a wall somewhere - they are lived every day by our students, our teachers, and our entire community. Respect, Manners, Try Your Best. It's who we are.
The first lesson in life’s diversity is that of females and males. It is important for boys and girls to learn to work together from an early age. Co-ed education provides opportunities for sensitivity, generosity and for learning a more balanced perspective.
KCS has taught me confidence. I think this is an important skill to have because it allows you to show your character and go out of your comfort zone to discover new interests and things about yourself.
