ABOUT KINGSWAY COLLEGE SCHOOL (KCS)

KCS is celebrating our 35th anniversary this year. We have been operating our Junior School, JK-8, since 1989, and after a generation’s work, we opened our Senior School in September 2021 with a grade 9 class. In June 2025, we will graduate our first class of grade 12 students. We seek a Director of Admissions who would be excited by the variety of opportunities inherent in a growing school.

YOUR OPPORTUNITY

This is a permanent position. KCS offers an excellent compensation package upon hire. Your anticipated start at KCS would be August 2024.

YOUR CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

The Director of Admissions is responsible for enrollment at KCS. This includes supporting marketing initiatives, attracting new families, guiding them through the admissions process, assisting them once they have joined the KCS community, and leading retention efforts.

The Director of Admissions leads the enrollment team in the following areas:

1. Strategic Leadership

2. Recruitment Strategy

3. Admissions Process Management

4. Application Review

5. Retention Initiatives

6. Data Analysis

7.  Community Engagement

8. Collaboration

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements

●      Previous experience in admissions, enrollment management, or related field, preferably in an independent school setting.

●      Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

●      Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing, and presentation skills.

●      Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

●      Enthusiasm for the KCS mission and vision

●      Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Education plus an extensive record of professional learning, both formal and informal

●      Experience outside the educational sector is also viewed as an asset.

KCS SENIOR SCHOOL - Computer Studies and Math

ABOUT KINGSWAY COLLEGE SCHOOL (KCS)

With much excitement, KCS has extended the vision and impact of our elementary school. We’ve developed a distinctly enriched secondary program and are seeking a secondary school teacher who is passionate about computer studies and math as we begin year three at our Lake Shore Senior School campus. 

Subjects include: Computer Studies, Computer Science, and intermediate/senior math.

We seek faculty who are passionate about these subject areas and excited by the variety of opportunities inherent in a small and growing school.

YOUR OPPORTUNITY

YOUR CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Engage as a collaborative, flexible, co-creator of a school experience that delivers extraordinary learning and growth

  2. Design and lead instruction

  3. Serve as a Faculty Advisor to a group of students over their four years of secondary school.

  4. As one of your dedicated teaching lines you will participate in the Advisor and KCS Path Program, supporting student-driven learning

  5. Lead and/or support a minimum of 2 clubs and teams per year.

  6. Assist with school-wide events

  7. Engage in ongoing professional learning, and share that learning to support achievement of the mission

  8. Work with the Head of Senior School and Assistant Head of Senior School to establish a community where all demonstrate the KCS Habits of Mind, Body and Action

  9. Work according to the standards in the KCS Habits of Mind, Body and Action

  10. Other duties as required.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Education plus extensive record of professional learning, both formal and informal

  • Can demonstrate school-based experience, including secondary school

  • Evident engagement in continuous improvement efforts

  • Strong in community-building, communication skills, critical thinking, initiative, flexibility, and attention to detail 

  • Enthusiasm for the KCS mission and vision, including how they will be realized in the Senior School.

  • OCT qualifications are an asset.

  • Experience outside the educational sector is also viewed as an asset.
