KCS offers a distinctly enriched secondary program and is currently seeking teachers for permanent positions in multiple subject areas and one long-term occasional position in Physical Education and geography at our Lake Shore Senior School campus. Physical Education teachers with experience in rowing are of particular interest for the long-term occasional position.

KCS offers an excellent compensation package upon hire. The start date would be August 25, 2025.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Engage as a collaborative, flexible, co-creator of a school experience that delivers extraordinary learning and growth
- Design and lead instruction
- Possibly serve as a Faculty Advisor to a group of students over their four years of secondary school.
- Participate in the KCS Path Program, supporting student-driven learning
- Lead and/or support a minimum of 2 clubs and teams per year
- Assist with school-wide events
- Engage in ongoing professional learning, and share that learning to support achievement of the mission
- Work with the Head of Senior School and Assistant Head of Senior School to establish a community where all demonstrate the KCS Habits of Mind, Body and Action
- Other duties as required
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Education plus extensive record of professional learning, both formal and informal
- Minimum 3 years school-based experience, including secondary school
- Evident engagement in continuous improvement efforts
- Strength in community-building, communication, critical thinking, initiative, flexibility, and attention to detail
- Enthusiasm for the KCS mission and vision, including how they will be realized in the Senior School.
- OCT qualifications are an asset.
- Experience outside the educational sector is also viewed as an asset.
